Without a doubt one of my favorite childhood games
The sound of all 4 hippos munching at once can be deafening
and its good for families because it is very hard to cheat
I get sorta grumpy when there is cheating goin' on

I was always a big fan of Pretty Pretty Princess and Candyland. :O)
I asked for Hungry Hippos every year for Christmas when I was a kid for about 5 years! Never got it, either!

I guess my parents knew it would be pretty noisy and I would make them play with me all the time.. :P
My sister had Hungry Hippos and I can still here the song they sang on the commercial! I was a big Clue fan and love any kind of puzzle to this day.
LOVED this game. Candyland was also a fav. and UNO. Cap the Hat too...although nobody has ever heard of it. My brother and I could play for hours.

oh..that is a hard one. i loved monopoly...i don't play a lot of games..but, i do enjoy playing them with the kiddos...they love the hippos and also the very loud bob the builder game with the very loud tools...did i say it is very loud? now i know why my mom was not a fan of the bed bugs game. do you remember that one?
My fave. childhood games were chutes and ladders, candyland, and monopoly... now, omgosh, there are soooo many great ones to choose from that I just cant do it...
I looooved Operation and good old "old Maid"....
