No Tires
I had been wanting these.
So I bought them.
I'm pretty much love them.
I got them yesterday.
I wore them today.
I felt silly wearing them for about 5 minutes.
Then I felt cute the rest of the day.
It is ok for a 30 something year old to wear cowboy boots with a short denim skirt.
It is.
When we got home with them my husband casually mentioned that we needed to get tires
for his car.
I casually mentioned that I was wearing his tires on my feet.
Good boots are $$$$.
No money for tires just now. (wink)
I rarely treat myself.
So it's ok.
I'm not guilty...can't you tell ?

Besties
We spend a lot of time together....we love them very much.
Last Sunday a corn maze was on the agenda.
I LOVE a corn maze...and they are even more fun with friends.
This is the position we see Chloe in 90% of the time lately.
It's supposed to be a donkey kick...she is in a gymnastics/fitness/tumbling class.
This must be her FAVORITE move...we literally see if 10 times a day.
It makes me want to do some donkey kicking myself...if you catch my drift.
I wanted to ride the cow train really bad but I didn't get to.
So you don't have to go all 911 we are lost in a corn maze, you carry a little flag so they can always find you. Don't know how someone got lost in a corn maze....but I guess anything can happen now can't it ?
"Don't run too far ahead in the corn maze....you'll get lost."
Famous last words....these two here....yep....LOST.
Mr. JaneSays had to go find them Chloe told me later they thought he was going to kill them.
Little fear never hurt anybody.
We had a lovely afternoon in the corn maze with our friends.
This may become an annual event.
Corn mazes and Besties....rock !!

When Small Was Small
Drink sizes, who decided to change these ??
Do you remember the day...when you ordered a small drink it was...well small.....and the medium was well...medium-ish and the large was large but reasonably large.
What is goin on today ?
The sizes are messed up. If they even have what most of us grew up knowing as small it's a value or senior drink these days. Arby's and BoJangles I am talking to you !!!
The 99 cent drink, this baffles me too....at some places it's gargantuan, at some places it's medium-ish. OK let's do it this way....since most Americans are penny pinching...how about you always by default give me the 99 cent drink ? Just today at Wendy's....I pulled up to the speaker and experienced a drink size fog over my brain which happens every time I pull up to any fast food speake lately because I do not have the brain capacity to keep up with all sizes, ounces, and prices of drinks anymore.
Anyway...I order a large, thought I remembered Wendy's having a large 99 cent drink...WRONG he said "2.02 at the window mam" but really I do not want to pay more than 99 cent for a tea flavored cup of water...they should all realistically be 99 cent.
So upon arriving at the window I explained that I really wanted was the dollar tea....come to find out that is a medium not a large...so I would pay a WHOLE dollar more for what amounts to mere ounces of tea. My lucky day he had already made the large and charged me the medium 99 cent and told me to talk the large and have a good day !!!
Ohhhhh...I know it's small and meaningless and if that is all I have to worry about (it is not) then I have it made....I just think it should have been left alone....it confuses me.
Once I tried asking how many ounces is your large ? To make sure I got the amount of drink I wanted....well they little speaker voices have no clue how many ounces their drinks are....of course.
And...note to Chic-Fil-A you can JUMP on this 99 cent tea bandwagon anytime....come on now.
that feels better...do you share my frustration ???

Suds Worm
Hurry quickly before the warm weather is gone get your kids a make a suds maker
You will need:
An empty water bottle
An old terry rag
scissors
a rubber band
a pan or dish or water
a pan or dish of dish detergent
water
Cut off the bottom of your water bottle...about 1 or 2 inches up from the bottom.
Cut a piece of rag large enough to wrap around the bottom of the bottle where you just cut, and up the sides enough to be secured by the rubber band, now secure the rubber band over the rag thus closing up the opening you just cut.
Pull the rag tight against the opening.
Dip the rag end into the water get it good and wet.
Now dip it into the detergent and let it soak some up.
Now blow and blow and blow from the drinking end and watch the suds worm grow.
Chloe loves to do this...this is the 4th Summer we have made mile long suds.
NOTE: The last photo is of the year we used Dawn as opposed to Palmolive, in my opinion Dawn makes a much better suds worm.
Enjoy !!

THE County Fair
Chloe is seven and had never been to the county fair, until now.
Mr. JaneSays and I had not been in forever, I think the last time we went was when
he was in the demolition derby, WHAT ?? ... yes.... I know what a strange think to do...right?
It seems to me that the fair never changes.
It still has the bright colors, flashing lights and junk food that I remember it having so long ago.
Oh and the carnies....oh my the carnies.
We, no I.....let's face it, her daddy is no where near as paranoid as I am, I only let her ride the rides that stayed very very close to the ground. Loose bolts left by carnies worry me.
I would also like to give an extra special shout out and thank you to the carny who cared enough to put his cigarette out and stuff it back in the package before taking my little girl's ticket from her so she could go slide down the slide. Customer Service at it's finest.
Parents....please pay more attention to the clothes your teenagers are wearing....I saw stuff at this fair that made me blush.
Only $600 and no one...NO ONE....would buy me a mini donkey. Whatever.
Cotton candy is still my favorite food.
Til' next year county fair....it was fun....real fun.
Do you think I am being sarcastic ??
