One for the Hubs

ok Ladies....this is not a girly, crafty, fun , nor pretty post....this is strictly for the hubs

G (my hubs) has acquired an interest in old BMX style bikes.....retro if you will....early 80's

He is searching high and low for bikes....bike parts....anything...he wishes to restore one or two or a dozen...this could go on and on....and heaven forbid become as bad as my crafting sickness.....Oh No !!

So ladies...do this for me....ask your hubs....brother.....dad...any men you know if they have old bikes (BMX style only)or parts lying around.....and if they wanna move it and make a little cash....my hubs just might take it off their hands.....and maybe I'll throw in something nice from JaneSays for you !!

If I get absolutely no comments to this post....I feel ya ladies.....bikes.....blech !!

got Christmas under my belt
packed up all the old toys....and old clothes...got bags for the goodwill
got bags for friends with children....gotta love hand-me-downs....right.
the crafting is coming along.....as is the family room re-do.

remember that silliy-ness from grade school....oh grade school.....definitely has its own set of unique memories...

step on a crack you break your mother's back.....I can remember all the way to the lunchroom avoiding the cracks at all costs....I loved that mommy of mine....still do.

and Oh....do you remember jump rope songs....and those hand clapping jive thingys....you know you and your girlfriends stood facing each other and did a series of hand clapping to a little song fast .......then faster still.

A Peeler I Am Not

Several nights ago I was peeling potatoes for
hamburger steaks and fried potatoes...Yummmm.
When it occurred to me as it always does...
I can't peel a potato to save my life. My mom....peels a potato in one long curly-cue......the pile of them lying there
is next to pretty.
No matter how hard I try...nor how sharp the knife...I just can't do it.

Can you peel a potato in one nice long spiral ??

I was reading Home Life magazine this morning.....and stumbled on a bit about a site called GoodSearch.

Instead of google or whatever search engine you choose.....when you use GoodSearch 1 penny is given to the charity of your choosing for each search......I know does not sound like much...but you KNOW how pennies can add up.....I watch it happen in Chloe's piggy bank all the time.
So....why not GoodSearch.....I am.

It also said in the article that you can add your child's school or perhaps a small charity you are involved in......I did not investigate this.....but if it interests you....check it out.

Do something good....every chance you get.
