Buffalo Chicken Sammich --- Get your Crock Pot Baby

Buffalo Chicken Sammich .... and it's a crock pot recipe....yes !!!

This recipe is a complete Pinterest Do.

4-5 Chicken Breasts
A Bottle of Frank's Wing Sauce
1 Packet of Ranch Dip Mix
2 Tbsp of Butter

Put chicken, wing sauce and ranch mix in to crock pot.
Cook on low 6-7 hours.
Take the chicken out, shred and return to crock pot with the butter for 1 more hour to let the chicken really soak up the buffalo sauce.

To make the sammies
I used sourdough bread and broiled it on both sides.
I put the chicken on one side of the bread added mozzarella cheese and put it back under the broiler
just long enough to melt the cheese.
Then we added some blue cheese dressing..

I swear to you this is a yummy yummy sammich.
The leftover chicken heats up great too.
We got 2 dinners and the hubby got one lunch out of this one batch.

I think you could easily use less or really  no butter, I may try that next time.

Saturday in a Blur

Saturday you are here.
I love you Saturday.
Saturday day of rest, leisure, do what you wanna do
day to have fun, run around barefoot (because you can during a Winter like this)
run errands with a little "for me" shopping tucked in there too

EEERRrrrrtttttt !!!!!!!!! (That was the sound of car brakes, you got that right?)

Today is none of that, well there will be some fun, but yea today is a busy busy day.

First some way too sugary cereal for breakfast because that is all we have time for
Then off to a basketball game for this beauty.
She is good....so good.

Then to a ONE year birthday party for this bundle of eat her up yum yum.
My "niece" Sunny is ONE.
Time flies blah blah blah.....yes we all know that now don't we ?

If we are not full of cake and such then we will stuff down some resemblance of a lunch

Then it's off to birthday  party number 2 for this handsome devil.
Yep my husband is getting Ooolllld.

Sometime tonight in the dark we will arrive back home and apologize to our dogs that they
had to be in their beds for the biggest part of Saturday, because it is their Saturday too.
I imagine though that they will be  thinking YES !!!  They are gone...let's sleep.

A Pinterest Don't

I have tried many many recipes and projects that I found on Pinterest and last week
I had my very first Pinterset failure.

There is a pin floating around out there that claims to be a Salsa just like Chili's.
Don't fall for it, don't waste your hard earned cash on the ingredients, you will be disappointed.

It tastes nothing like Chili's.
It was not even a really good salsa
I followed the recipe to a T.
I had high hopes, I wanted to to work out.
I really did.
Chili's salsa is my favorite and I would love have Chili's "like" salsa at home....anytime....all the time.

I think one issues was the taste of the canned tomatoes, canned tomatoes are fine after cooking but, meh not so good just out of the can.

So .......
If you want Chili's salsa go to Chili's  and that's that.
